The most important point to be noted, when you enter your credit card details we use it to charge the bill for the service you are using, according to the plan you selected.

In the Origami SAAS product, you may upload your display picture which will be saved on AWS S3 and in the future might be stored on another one of the major cloud services, and will be used only to display your image inside in your Origami profile (i.e. chat and other references to you to make it simpler for your team to recognize you). There is a chat service inside Origami and if you use it the chat will be stored to display in your conversation. We will not access, analyze, or do anything with this chat history.

Origami functions as a user-managed database and you can store data using it as a drive and use those data whenever you need it. We never access, share, or do anything with your stored data in the drive.

We only use Your email (as stated at the start of this section) to send emails generated by the other users in your team and company (users can send other users emails using Origami) regarding new features, capabilities, to send invoices and changes we make. You can easily unsubscribe from those email alerts, in case you are not interested in such updates.

Non-Personally identifiable information means which cannot be used to identify or contact you. It includes profession, company industry, gender, current location, or zip code). We only collect those data for our internal use if needed. We don’t share, sell, or don’t do anything with this data.

Note: Only the main website of Origami collects the above-mentioned information, but our SAAS solution does not collect any information.

We don’t collect any data from other sources(i.e Gmail, Google Calendar, and 365x Mailbox).

We only display those data on your screen. We do not read, analyze, or store it in any way. All data coming from external sources is just used to display on your screen in a relevant context to help you (the user) to easily find the relevant information from other sources.

Does Origami Collect Information from Children under 16 years of age

Our services are not intended for use by persons under the age of 16. When we find that any user under 16 has created an account, we immediately freeze or delete this account.

Why do we need your data

  • Provide and Improve Services: We use the data we collect to operate, maintain, provide, and personalize our Services and SAAS solution. The information we collect allows us to understand who benefits from Origami and how to better plan our development roadmap to make Origami better. Your data will never be transferred to anywhere from Origami. We share data (Only for the website not for our SAAS solution) with our analytics partner, “google analytics” which uses cookies and other tracking technology to provide functionality and to recognize you across different Services and devices. It only happens for our main website, our SAAS product doesn’t have the analytics.

How Long will Data be Stored

If you use Origami as a CRM or HRMS or ERP or just to store any data then the Origami application will keep the data as long as their account is active and 6 months after in case they want to reactivate it.

When do we disclose information to a third party

We may disclose your personal information when it is required by Law.

We will only disclose that information if it conflicts with the statutory Rules, Regulations, and if necessary for legal proceedings, search warrant, or any other legal investigation.

We have the right to disclose your data in special circumstances when we have grounds to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, to detect fraud, or to protect the safety contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be terminating our Terms of Service, and/or security of our users.

Does this Privacy Policy apply when you browse links to other websites or services

Our website may contain links to other websites or services(i.e Google, Facebook, Bing, etc.) but we are not responsible for your privacy regarding other websites or services, even if you browse those from the existing links of our website. We provide these links only for your convenience and information.

Is the information collected through the Origami Service secure

It is your responsibility to keep your passwords private and secure. We strongly recommend against sharing your logins and passwords with others.

From our side, all the stored data in Origami is secured. We take your privacy and the security of your information seriously, and we have taken precautions to protect the stored data. We have high standards of security, in secured AWS data centers, with high-security policy, WAF, restricted server access, and Multi-factor authentication.
To prevent unauthorized access, help safeguard, maintain data security, and correctly use your information, we have physical, electronic, and managerial procedures.

However, neither humans nor the security systems are foolproof, including encryption systems. We cannot guarantee these security measures will prevent third parties from obtaining information through illegal actions or attacks.

Could your Information be Transferred to other Countries

Technically it is indeed possible! The information we collect may be transferred to the official cloud providers like AWS and maybe Azure and Google cloud in the future. Currently, we store data in US-based Amazon AWS data centers and if you use Origami from another country like Canada, India, or the UK then your information will be stored in our hosting location USA.

As we believe your information should be available to you from anywhere, at any time, Origami service may be viewed and stored anywhere in the world, including countries that may not have laws of general applicability regulating the use and transfer of such data. With the fullest length allowed by adequate law, by using the Origami service and submitting such information on it, you voluntarily agree to the trans-border transfer and hosting of such information.

EU & U.S. Privacy Shield Framework

Origami complies with the EU-U.S and Swiss-U.S Privacy Shield Framework. Privacy Shield Framework assigned by the U.S. Department of Commerce about the use, collection, and retention of personal data transferred from the European Union and Switzerland to the United States. Origami has certified that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Notice, Principles, Choice, Security, Data Integrity, Accountability for Onward Transfer, and Purpose Limitation, Access, and Recourse, Enforcement and Liability. If there any conflict arises between the terms in this privacy policy and the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern.
